Kristin Fisher joined CNN in July 2021, as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In that role, she covers everything from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin was born into the field of space as the daughter and granddaughter of NASA astronauts. In the past five years she's reported on space policy during the Biden and Trump administrations for FOX News. During that time, she was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president and the 2020 presidential election and efforts by two administrations in order to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Kristin was a local television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned the Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter prior to becoming a reporter for CBS in the year 2015. Kristin started Field Mouse Films with her skills behind the camera back in the year 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in creating documentary films for corporate clients such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin is married to her daughter, and her 3-year-old daughter in Washington, D.C.
